About the Library

The Rideau Lakes Public Library is your community resource for information and recreational reading in the township of Rideau Lakes. Presently, we serve 10,350 municipal residents as well as several thousand seasonal cottagers.

Rideau Lakes Public Library started in 1975 as Rideau Lakes Union Library from a coalition of small municipal libraries in North Leeds. Today, the Library operates as a large "community library" and provides a wide range of services via five branches and a comprehensive website.
