For 25 years, the South Elmsley Public Library operated with its own individual Library Board. This library throughout its history has always been located in Lombardy Public School. Today, it remains one of the few school-housed public libraries in the Upper Canada District School Board. The partnership has been valuable.

In return for a large spacious room in the school, our library supplies a modern and well-maintained collection for the community and the school. With the amalgamation of Rideau Lakes Township, this library became part of our system.


This branch has an excellent collection of juvenile books but also lots of popular adult fiction and non-fiction. There is Internet access at several workstations as well. Our hours are coordinated to accommodate both school and home.
